YAYAYAYAY!!!

This might sound really bizarre-but I don't even have a boyfriend and I've thought of thousands of ways to incorporate SAI in my wedding.

Like, the number of people sitting at each table
My bridesmaids dresses
The wedding bouquet
And, I will be wearing my badge

syrinx 10-21-2007 10:26 AM

Make sure the SAI's sing the chorale to you at the reception!

I don't know that we, as a sisterhood, have a whole lot of wedding traditions. If I remember correctly, only one of our Founder's went on to get married and have children. I'm not sure if you know much of the history, but many of the traditions started in the early days are ones we still use now and since only one of them got married....

Of course, when SAIs meet SAIs eat! Of course, always have sisters in attendance sing you the chorale. And, a chapter sister of mine is getting married this summer and there is a song called "Sweetheart of SAI" That I want us to learn so we can sing it to the groom.

And, girl, they are your badges--wear them however you want! :D

I'm going to put laurel wreath on each table, too.

And of course, the white dress is all over some SAI.

If you know the ritual well, incorporate some aspects of that--that no one would suspect. (ie-red roses, white roses, # of ppl at a table) not like say the pledge or anything.

Are you a vocalist?

My sinuses are killing me :(

CuriousWildcat 11-13-2007 07:13 AM

Initiation is on Nov. 26th and I still feel like I have a TON of stuff to do with the MITs!

AlwaysSAI 11-13-2007 09:03 PM

We are having our MIT sleepover this weekend and they are taking the national exam on Monday.

Initiation for us, is on Dec. 2nd.

CuriousWildcat 11-14-2007 05:09 PM

awww sleepover! what do you do at the sleep over?

AlwaysSAI 11-16-2007 04:51 PM

We have an MIT sleepover every semester the weekend before the new girls take the national exam.

We hang out, watch movies, paint the rawk in the middle of the night (big campus tradition), and always go to breakfast the following morning.

It's a way for us to bond with the new girls and help them as they prepare to take the exam.
