Your open motto

(I know someone had started a similar thread but it died really quick.)

I've noticed that some GLOS open mottos are really similar. So I started searching on national websites to find everyones motto. But for some reason open mottos just aren't something that get put on the sites.

So post your GLOS open motto here and let's see how many of them strike you as similar! :)

Our mottos are:

"Esse Quam Videri" - to be rather than to seem to be (which is also the state motto of North Carolina LOL!) :)

AND

"Dedication, Pride & Excellence"

Vita Brevis, Ars Longa ("Life is short, but art is long" in Latin)

Basically means that while we're only on earth for a short time, our works and deeds continue on, so you better make 'em good! ;)

Hmm... I know that we have a secret motto but I'm not sure that we have an open one. If we did it would be:

Tradition of Leadership

We do have a mission statement, which is:

Kappa Kappa Gamma is an organization of women which seeks for every member throughout her life bonds of friendship, mutual support, opportunities for self-growth, respect for intellectual development, and an understanding of and an allegiance to positive ethical principles.

Any of my sisters out there, correct me if I'm wrong.
