Legacy Question
My grandfather pledged and was initiated into Kappa Sigma in 1960 but ended up dropping out of school and finishing later in life. Even though he didn't graduate, I am considered a legacy? I am rushing next fall.

If your grandfather is alive, he needs to call Kappa Sigma headquarters and ask if you are and how he is supposed to share that information with the chapter where you will be rushing. If not you should contact Kappa Siga headquarters yourself, and ask what descendants of a deceased member should do. Best wishes for rush!

To the best of my knowledge, you are a legacy since your grandfather was initiated into the fraternity. I don't think him not graduating would change that. As Mary Poppins said, though, the Kappa Sigma headquarters will be able to tell you for certain.

You're a legacy. Always a great conversation starter!

You would be a legacy. Have him contact the chapter, it is always so nice to see legacies come through. I was a legacy, and didn't even know until my uncle gave me the grip after I was initiated!

Going through ritual and being initiated makes one a brother for life. You're a legacy.
