Syracuse Fraternity Rush

What is fraternity rush like at Syracuse University? When does it start? How can someone sign up?

Does he like to make snow angels?

When does rush start? What is it like for fraternity rush? I know it is informal but, how do guys do rush? I know how it works for girls because I have gone through sorority recruitment but, I'm sure it is different for guys. Any advice?

Any particular reason why you want to know?

I'm sorry. I guess I should have stated why it is a question on my mind. My boyfriend is considering fraternity rush and being the only Greek he knows-he asked me all about it. Usually, I like to pride myself on having so much knowledge about random things and knowing that if I don't know-I can ask so many of the great people on GreekChat and most likely find someone who will answer my questions. We are in the process of picking out some clothes for rush but, I don't even really know where to begin.

Do men go to all of the fraternity houses (the ones who are holding rush events for informal)? What are some good tips I could give him? I know that talking about politics is probably a no-no but, can he talk about his military service? When fraternity guys meet a potential new member, what are some things they are looking for in a brother (age, major, etc.)?

Thanks in advance to any advice. I'm glad GreekChat has so many great Fraternity men and Sorority women who are willing to answer questions about rush.
