Just found out something odd...

My DD will be a freshman at an SEC school and will go through recruitment in a few weeks, but I was just asked by my coworker if she changed her mind because there is a recruitment application under her name at a completely different SEC school where her daughter is currently an active. I thought maybe it was a recommendation to her daughter's sorority that got sent to the wrong school (the majority of girls from our area do go to the other school, so I could see that possibly happening), but she said no, it's the general application for recruitment. So I said maybe it was another girl with the same name, but she said it is definitely my daughter. My daughter did apply to the other school, but no deposits were ever made and she certainly didn't sign up for recruitment. I don't know whether to be concerned or just disregard it...any thoughts?

Is your name a common one? Or does it have identifying info making it impossible to be someone with the same name?

Address and HS the same?

I contacted my coworker's daughter for more information, and apparently she simply saw DD's name on a list of girls from our area going through recruitment, so that makes me feel better. If the list was school-specific, it could've been someone's assumption given the number of girls from our area who go to that university, or it may have been something like the alumnae Panhellenic list of all area girls rushing regardless of school; either way, I don't there's any cause for me to be concerned :)

Good. Glad you investigated.
