University of Arkansas sorors?
 

Hi, i will possibly be attending the University of Arkansas this coming fall (2002) and i was wondering if any of you were in any of the sororities or had any info on them...I am thinking of rushing but have no information on any of the organizations. Please let me know if you know anything or know of a website where i can check the sororities out. Thanx so much to all of you!

Arkansas' website is at www.uark.edu. The Panhellenic website is really good!

According to the University of Arkansas website , these are the NPC sororities on campus:

Alpha Delta Pi
Chi Omega
Delta Delta Delta
Kappa Delta
Kappa Kappa Gamma
Pi Beta Phi
Zeta Tau Alpha

Carnation: thank you for the advice, but ua.edu is university of alabama... the university of arkansas doesn't have a website for greek life...i don't know why. it seems rediculous, but it doesn't. thanks tho!

Tara, based on my experience in rush and with the alum club in Fayetteville, I would say: don't set your heart on one or two groups, especially if you're from out of state. The U of Arkansas Greek system isn't big but it's entrenched and powerful... there are 4 sororities that are especially hard to get into. It's the kind of system where women plan for years how to get their daughters into certain chapters and like at LSU, a lot of legacies are cut.

U of Arkansas just received a gift of $300 million. WOW!

As someone who has grown up in Arkansas, U of A Fayetteville (the official new name, and don't let those kids up there tell you different) is one of the hardest greek systems to get into. I had a friend who was a double legacy and got cut. As hard as it is, it is worth it!. The benifits of being there are amazing. Go on with an open mind. There are no "Bad" sororities!

Of course UAF's sororities don't hold a candle to U of A Little Rock!

Hi first off i must say with greek chapters aside, University of Arkansas is the best school ever...I am an alum! and when you choose dorms ...Pick Gibson Hall! ok enough of me selling Fayette-nam. UARK has a great greek system. Although i didnt rush in college i have friends who did. i say go for it and don't think twice about it!:D

You cant take the Southern Calif gal out of So cal, but you can put the southern belle attitude into the so cal gal!
