I'm also curious -- how is the Tri Delta AI process different from most other GLOs'?
THANK YOU!!!! Man, I thought I was throwing hints all over the place re: BU, I mentioned once about Founders Day being in November, a chapter up at TX A&M......ok, so I'm as subtle as a brick to the head sometimes........

From what I have been able to gather from the national Honor Initiates coordinator (that's one difference right there: what they call the process), approval for initiation is a 3-step process. First, the local alumnae group approves the HI (and I believe this is a unanimous vote), then a local collegiate chapter (ditto), then a final review and approval from National. I believe, based on what I've read here, that this multi-step approval is more than what some other GLOs do. I could be mistaken, but that is what I've picked up.

Thank you for the support, gang. I am hoping this works out, but I know nothing is guaranteed for a while. I'm going to cool my heels until everyone's schedule opens up and we can spend some time together.

I've been ready to answer the question, "Why did you choose to approach TriDelta, out of all of the 26 NPC sororities that have alumnae clubs/chapters in Houston?" for a while. I have some solid, honest answers to that--including the philanthropy (I'm directly involved in cancer research, including pediatrics) and how issues affecting Greek life today were addressed at the very founding over 100 years ago. But more than that....something about all of the aspects together just resonates on a level that there are simply no words for. I hope this makes sense.

Have a great day, everybody!
