Advice for CR
I'm a freshman and planned on participating in rush week next fall as a sophomore. But there's a sorority on campus that has been doing continuous recruitment events. I've attended a couple and even got invited to the invitation only event. These girls are all really nice and awesome. I think I might get a bid (though I know nothing is set in stone).
I guess what I'm trying to ask is what should I do? They're the only sorority doing continuous recruitment so I can't really get a feel for any others until next fall. And although these girls are really nice, there are 11 other sororities with girls that I might fit in with better. But I'll also be a sophomore next fall which lessens my chances with a lot of them.
Help!

I'm afraid no one here can help you make a decision because only you know what's best for you.
You already know your options and don't need us to tell you what may or may not happen. Go with your gut.

No one can tell you what to do about this. It's all about what you want to do.
My advice: Weigh the pros/cons of going to the events now vs. waiting until fall recruitment.

Do whatever you feel is right. You cannot go back in time and attend formal recruitment as a Freshman but you should have an idea by now what your bid chances will be next year as a Sophomore. Personally, I would prefer to wait and check out all 12 formally next fall instead making a decision based on the one that you have met. My logic would be that if this chapter is the only one of 12 sororities offering COR that they may be willing to take another look at you again in the fall. But then again, as other posters have suggested, do whatever you feel is right for you.

Note: I think she's at Texas A&M, so this may not be the case.

She said in her earliest posts that she is at A&M, so you're right.

And also took it upon herself to dispense advice on rushing at UT.

yes! weigh the pros and cons.
do you like these girls?
do you have similar interests with the members that you visited with?
can you see yourself living in the same house with these girls?
do the sorority's ideals gel with your own?
etc., etc.
