What did YOU *wear* to your first Rush?

Hi girls!

I was wondering what you girls wore to your first Rush event?

I'm just curious to know what's appropiate, even though my rush isn't for quite a while!

Thanks so much!

XOXO,
Annie.

In all honesty, jeans and a black shirt. Most girls had on jeans or shorts the first day. It was too hot out.

For me, I wore a sweater and a pair of Jeans. Mind you, this was end of Jan. in PA. So I had to wear something warm. But, good luck to you!

Khaki shorts, my favorite coral t shirt and a braided belt. This was in 1994 though....

I'm a little shocked that I actually remember that. Whoah!

LOL..

You really don't want to know what I wore, back on that hot summer day in Florida...in 1985!

Well, I thought I looked good...!

Our rush was less casual than most, so I wore khaki capris and a sweater the first day....and it got much dressier towards the end of the week.

1994...I wore a sundress, and it got dressier from there.

I went through COB, so it was pretty casual. I think I wore a pink polo shirt and khaki walking shorts. I probably had either Tretorns or Bass sandals on my feet. All jewelry was gold and included an add-a-bead necklace (anyone else remember wearing those?!)

If this post doesn't date me, nothing will

We have our recruitment in the evenings, so most girls are coming from classes and they keep it nice, but more on the casual side until Pref night.

Our first event was Philanthropy Night, and it was deferred rush in January (I guess it was still called "rush" then... January 2000). We were told to wear khakis or jeans and sneakers. I wore dark jeans and a fitted maroon-colored v-neck sweater top, the stretchy kind from Express.

The girls seem to be a little dressier on the first night, even now, just a couple of years later.

My rush was in January but I ended up wearing a black v-neck shirt, black pants, black boots and a long silver duster sweater with fur around the collar. I got so many compliments over my sweater from girls who rushed me!

I don't really remember what I wore to anything but Preference. For Pref, I wore a pale pink, slinky-material top that has three little embroidered dragon flies on it and a gray skirt. I love that outfit! I always get compliments on that shirt whenever I wear it.

I remember for the first day, I wore dark flared jeans, a black tank top, and a black duster over it.

For pref I wore a long black skirt with a teal sweater tank over it and really really high heels. (I don't recommend it).

Several of the PNM(including myself) have recently asked what types of things to wear to Rush- so I took it upon myself to dig deep in the past and pull out this thread But please, feel free to add to it
