Question Informal Recruitment

Hi all! I was just wondering what you all were doing for Panhellenic informal recruitment. We have ours in the fall and usually do what I would call a "mini formal" rush with parties and preferences and such. This year we're changing to just taking a girl out to dinner, movies, bowling, group outings etc. I'm in charge of Panhel recruitment and some sororities just don't get the whole "no parties" thing. One objection was that some preferences are like rituals. Also, do you have a time period for your informals? One group said that it would be better to just start at the beginning of school, get to know the girl, and ask her to join...it's kinda driving me insane... Let me know what you all do!

You can do a search for "informal recruitment" using the search button at the top right of your screen. There are tons of threads about it.
