Welcome home!! I never post although I lurk quite a bit, but I've been following your story and just wanted to say I'm so happy that you're an ADPi! <>

^^^ I figured that out from your matching tennis shoes in the pledge class picture!
I love this hand signs picture, but I need help. Is the teal shirt girl a Theta, and the middle girl in the back a Kappa? Those signs are awfully complicated, especially for the groups with the easiest nicknames! Kudos to them for learning them so fast...I'd have carpal tunnel syndrome!
Also, did you ever find out what happened to the PNM who was wearing the DG wristlet to recruitment parties?

Yes, the teal shirt is a Theta. It's supposed to be a K and then the letter Theta together. I like it a lot more than the kite hand sign with the pointer fingers and thumbs, which can mean something inappropriate in ASL. The Kappa sign I'm not as sure about, but she is definitely a Kappa.

I'm so glad that you're not the one having a "Miley Cyrus moment"! Thank you for the great photos!

Congratulations and violets to you, Clemsongirl! I must say I stayed up late last night reading your story, and I couldn't wait to finish it today. I had a sneaking suspicion all along that Sagittarius=ADPi, but when you described the flower portion of their pref party I knew it could only be ADPi! Your story closely mirrored my daughter's as she is also a legacy who is pledging the First & Finest. Like your mother, I too encouraged my daughter to follow her heart, and she'd find her true home. Another similarity was while she would change her mind throughout the recruitment process about this sorority or that sorority, ADPi always remained a constant...but I let her find that out for herself.

I'm just now getting around to reading recruitment stories and your story is wonderful. I love a legacy ending and how you made the connection between the little things that your mom did and the sorority. I'm guessing this has to do with pop tabs or putting spare change in the drop box at the drive thru? I know my kids see me do these things

Yep! For years and years we always took the soda tabs off of the cans, and I knew we gave them to RMH but never understood why since we had never needed help from there before. Then when I was looking into sororities at Clemson I realized that that was ADPi's philanthropy and got super excited!
