I think it's a cute dress. I would make sure it is long enough when you are sitting so that you aren't in danger of revealing anything you don't want to show, as it looks a tad short on the (likely very tall) model, and I also would consider wearing a camisole/tank top beneath it because of the open back.

Reason: ETA: everyone else already mentioned the length!

It needs to be about 4-5 inches longer...knee length. If it isn't on you, then no. The open back is also an issue. Think of an interview with your dad's boss...

I checked in PNMs for colonization interviews recently, and most of the girls had booked times when they had breaks between classes. I don't recall anyone wearing heels or looking purposefully "dressed up", but everyone looked tasteful and appropriate...business casual. Dressier pants were typical. I guarded backpacks, a huge art portfolio case, an instrument, etc. Everyone was well-groomed, but they also would have blended in during class.

Good call, I did not look at the other pictures.
I change my vote, no for this dress. The back isn't too risque, but definitely not good for an interview.

31" from the shoulders is too short.

I was planning on wearing either a camisole, bandeau, or backless bra. The slit in the back is VERY thin, I didn't even notice it at first when I tried it on.

NO to the backless bra and bandeau looks. You are interviewing with adult women...not peers, not men. Some may be old enough to be your grandmother. It might be OK if you get invited to one of the party rounds (depending on how they are) but not an interview.

Do you have a nice white cardigan you could wear with it? That would cover the open back and give it an age-appropriate, daytime look.

What if I wore a blazer so the back was covered?

That would work, too.

Love the idea of a blazer with that dress.

I have a cardigan that matches the flats I'm wearing. Thank you all so much, I appreciate it immensely!

Always think about your AUDIENCE when planning what to wear Unless you are interviewing for a job at Hooters, then short, tight, low cut, or backless is not the best idea!
eta: You want to be remembered, but not as "the girl in that AWFUL dress"!

Did not notice the back of the dress. Glad my GC panhel sisters did, and that the OP came up with a solution.
