We had a girl come through this year who went from house to house on her skateboard (keep in mind, all of our sororities are close together so you have plenty of time to get to house to house by walking). I mean, if that's your preferred method of transportation, good for you. However, she didn't simply leave the skateboard at the door. She carried it through our entire house while she was talking to active members. It was a little strange.

I also had a girl who was very aggressive while talking to me. She shouted inappropriate questions at me and wouldn't accept any answer I would give. For instance, she said "I hate drinking and I want to join a sorority where nobody drinks. I find it disgusting. Does Alpha Delta Pi have members who drink?" I politely told her that we are a very diverse house that has girls who have many different interests and then tried to change the subject. She told me that my answer "Wasn't good enough and she needed more information or she would cut us from her list that night." When our recruitment chairs rang the bell signaling that the social was over, I told her it was time for us to walk to the door. I stood up (I was kneeling in front of her, she was sitting in a chair), and she yanked my hand and pulled me back down to the ground and yelled "No, wait! I have more questions you have to answer. I know you have time. Now tell me why you joined Alpha Delta Pi."

I couldn't get her out of there fast enough. :|

She was making fun of a chapter and decided to put it on social media as she was going through recruitment. She was then pulled from recruitment. It wasn't my organization she was making fun of but, I thought, "Good. In the spirit of all things Panhellenic, she doesn't deserve to join one of the many great NPCs on this campus."

It goes along the lines that if you can't say anything nice, don't say it at all.
That's horrible! Sounds like she is just bitter and probably jealous.

I have a feeling there's more to the story than just that one offense, but I was impressed that it happened nonetheless.
I'm still curious about what happened to your fellow PNM who was sporting the Lilly Pulitzer DG wristlet during recruitment.

Maconmagnolia, "skateboard girl" definitely qualifies for this thread. The other PNM sounds like she has a future as a prosecuting attorney.

From what I have heard, she did not get a bid anywhere and this was her second time going through recruitment. I'm assuming she acted in a similar manner at the other houses she visited.

I think everyone would have remembered her from the year before. Did skateboard girl get a bid?

I'm not sure! I never talked to her so I didn't even know her name, I just saw her walking around.

Fortunately she did not actually skateboard in the house!
Some of the PNMs that are now our new members did report seeing her skateboarding between houses, though. Apparently she even did some tricks!

I think this needs to be added to the list of impressive character traits PNMs should work to include in their resumes...no rec writer should pass up mentioning these kinds of talents!

An Ole Miss Gamma Chi (Rush Counselors) reported that when she lined up her recruitment group at one house she had an "extra" PNM. When she confronted person, she said, "Excuse me but you're a mom, and you have to leave." Extra PNM said, "Oh no. I'm a PNM!" Then the Gamma Chi said, "If you're a PNM, then where is your Panhellenic Name Tag?" The sheepish mom left the line and beat a hasty retreat
