Post Alum involvement

I guess no one is involved in alum involvement. Well I am and have worked butt off to keep the charter, start and alum groupn start a mentoring group to work with the chapter, and a core group to work on plans for a new house. Other than being on the Housing Corp, I am not doing a whole hell of a lot. I am am only a 2 hr drive from my chapter. If you are not working with your chapter as an alum., then you forgot what Brother/Sisterhood really is! Damn Mark Not Much On This Window, Whats the deal???????

Well, I know that there have been several posts on this board regarding alumni involvement and many of the posters here are very active both locally and nationally. We have at least one regular poster that is the National President of her Sorority.

Personally, I serve as Alumnae Chapter President, Alumnae Panhellenic President and I'm being nominated for a national committee position. In the past, I've advised the collegiate chapter, served as Alumnae Chapter VP and on various committee positions.

Good to hear from you both! I always get a cry from the local that the Alums have ignored them. Well in most cases, if the chapter does not keep th Alums updated the to lose interest. I have been working to find lost Brothes and update our database including E-M/ So far have gotten @ 45 % of the chapter. We are having our 35 th Annv. O f the founding of the local and being Lambda Chi Alpha. I have gotten over double of the Alums planning to come back over the size of the chapter. It proves to me that there is a tie that binds each Brother/Sisterhood together. We just want knowledge of what the chapter is doing with out doing a root canal to get it!

Actually, Tom, there are a number of very active and committed alums who contribute to this board.

I am a Division Vice President and work with two local chapters. I also helped form an Alumni Chapter here and organize functions.
