in need of some rush advice

i am rushing this year as a sophomore.... (rush starts the 25th of september) i rushed last year, and to make a long story short, it just didnt work out for me... here is the thing.. i am planning on double majoring.. in psychology and child development.. this means that i will be at school for a total of 5 years.. thats 4 years in my potential sorority.. should i mention this? would it make my chances better to let them know that i am going to be around for a while? thanks for all your help

Definitely mention that you will have at least another 4 years at school due to your double major. If your school cuts sophomores heavily, it may help prevent initial cuts if the sororities know you'll be around as long as a freshman will be.

I joined as a sophomore and will be embarking on my third year as a Kappa active this fall, even though I'm technically a senior. My sisters were very excited to learn that they still got four years of me, even though I was older.

DO MENTION THIS! If you'll have four years as an active, that makes you kind of a "super-freshman" as far as rush is concerned. You'll have the same amount of time on campus as freshmen, but you've got a year's worth of experience which would make you a good leadership candidate. I could see you taking a big mentoring or leadership role in your pledge class.
