ETA: Updated schedule as of June 5. Several off-campus apartments, as well as the UCF residence halls, have arranged to let PNM's move in earlier in preparation for recruitment.

ETA: Holy cow! These are some LATE parties! I have no idea how the chapters are supposed to conduct membership selection sessions after such a long night and get those disks to Panhellenic in time for them to process schedules for the next day. ZTAngel, have you heard anything?

*knocks head on desk*
I knew it was going to be a night time thing now, but omg til 11 o clock?! Can I request a re-vote. Seriously, I didn't mind waking up at 7/8 am to get done by 3-4 and then have the selection meetings. We were at least out by 8-9 and 10 pm at the latest.

*cries* No more night time, just think of all those PNMs walking around and it's black outside, they'll need major light-age.

I haven't heard anything. I'm a little out of the loop now that I've moved. Those are VERY late parties. If the last party doesn't end until 11:30pm, I'd imagine that voting would probably go on until about 2am. There's two reasons for why I think UCF has done this. One being that it's much cooler at night; the afternoon heat in Orlando can be brutal. The other being the drug and alcohol problems UCF has been having. The late night recruitment parties will prevent drinking during the week because I can't imagine very many people wanting to go out and get wasted at 3am. (plus, the Orlando bars close at 2am) I really can't help but think the later one is probably the reason for the late parties but you never know.
