Delta Delta Delta Celebrates 125 Years

Tri Deltas across the nation celebrate the founding of Delta Delta Delta at Boston University in 1888 on Thanksgiving eve. This year alumnae and collegians will gather together in November for the fraternity's 125th birthday and light candles in memory of Sarah Ida Shaw and Eleanor Dorcas Pond. The largest event was in southern California where 640 sisters joined together and enjoyed an address by Delta Delta Delta President, Phyllis Grissom.

It is a special year for six Tri Delta chapters. Cornell, Stetson, Arkansas, Drury, Wyoming and Nevada at Reno have centennial years in 2013.

Four alumnae chapters will celebrate 100 years. They are Indianapolis, Portland, Laramie and Fayetteville.
