I'm very concerned about this.

Recently, I have been getting nosebleeds like one every other day. There was a week that I went through without getting one. I had just moved from NY to Arizona five months ago, so it could have something to do with the change in climate. Then again, it could be something else. This is scaring me and I don't know why this keep happening to me. I am fearing the worst!

Some of my cousins have this same condition (it runs in families). I forget what it's called, but get it checked out ASAP. There is medication you can take for it.

If it's climate or sea level change (i.e. going from mountains to valleys), that should have ceased by now.

I am sorry to hear this! This was happening to me last year a lot too, but I had also gotten hit in the face and just had a lot of problems with my nose in general. I think you should go to the doctor, just in case. Either way it will make you feel better. Hope you get better soon!

Have you been consuming a lot of fish, fish oil, flaxseed oil, canola oil, or walnuts lately?

All of the above contains Essential Fatty Acid (or EFA's) which is the "good fat", it can do something to your platlets, causing things like nosebleeds and heavier periods.

My coworker had a similar problem last year around this time. He was having frequent nose bleeds and such and then finally it got to the point that he couldn't stop them. So he went into the hospital and found out they needed to caterize something in his nose. I forget what exactly it was but I'll ask. If you get to the point like him, where you cannot stop them and there's a ton of blood, GO IN! Don't wait!

Otherwise my guess would be seasonal allergies. Try getting a humidifier for your room - don't forget to turn it off when you leave

I used to get nosebleeds all the time when I was a little kid. they eventually stopped. unless you are blowing a lot of coke you have nothing to worry about.

unless these nosebleeds are in combination with severe pain and/or headaches you should just attribute it to climate.

Nosebleeds can however be a symptom of pregnancy due to change in blood volume.

It's funny you mentioned this, last week I kept getting nose bleeds-- in the worst places... on my 1st day at my internship I'm walking in NYC and I get one, then I get another a few days later walking in the Museum of Natural History-- sooooo awful, it's so hard trying to find a bathroom in that place, and even worse when you're dodging the crowds. I haven't gotten 1 since, but you just reminded me I should bring it up to my doctor when I see her for my check up in 2 weeks.

And I hope they're just signs of climate, not pregnancy! I actually have been getting this weird feeling that I'm pregnant... but I doubt it.

First and foremost, you ought to consider speaking to a qualified health care personnel...

Secondly, I was told by several health care workers that in extremely dry climates, i.e. the desert, that the "nosebleeding" that occurs can be solved by adding humidity to the environment...

Basically, buy a humidifier and use it for the recommended time. Also, vaporizers, like that from Vick's Vapor Rub work well, too...

But I would still see qualified medical advice...
