Police Find Young Male Dead in West Campus
A male in his late teens was found dead in a fraternity house on West Campus Saturday, according to the Austin Police Department. Police received a 911 call at 1:41 p.m. and discovered the body at 2816 San Pedro St.
Laura Albrecht, spokeswoman for APD, said the death was "non-suspicious" and details from the autopsy are pending. The man's identity is also being withheld until family members have been notified.
According to KXAN News, Austin-Travis County EMS said the death may have been alcohol-related, and neighbors confirmed that there was a party held the previous night.
Leaders of the Lambda Phi Epsilon fraternity declined to comment on the case, and neighbors said they had been asked by police not to comment as well.
