Cool rush ideas

Whats up everyone, I was apointed as a rush captain for the fall and we are struggling to come up with ideas for rush in the fall, we wanna do some badass events that will bring in alot of guys; we wanna have the biggest rush/pledge turnout ever, so if you have any good ideas for formal and informal rush type events to attract people let me know.

Hey SigmaPiUT,
I dunno if this will help but the guys on my campus do a big game nite, where they either use the campus game room, or they take everyone to like ESPN zone and have a whole bunch of tournaments and stuff like that.
Hope that helps

This message isn't directed to anyone personally. If you do a search and don't find what you want, people post the question. Maybe this person did a search and didn't find what they were looking for. Some of the ideas are old, or maybe they don't/won't work at their campus. People come up with new rush stuff all the time, and if all we do is tell folks to search, we'll never learn those new things. Ok, I'm done

Yeah, really. I hate seeing people shot down just because they didn't search through the forum before posting. It is a message board where you can post messages -- not just an archive. If all we did was search, there would be no new posts, and that is no fun. If I had a question, I would want to ask it and word it in my own way because it probably isn't the exact same question as one that has already been asked (although it could be, but I would rather ask myself). Just my opinion...

Wink

The intent of my post wasn't to "shoot anyone down". It's a shame that some of you feel that way..but I'm not making any apologies for it.

One of the benefits of doing a search is that many of the previous topics have a LOT of GREAT IDEAS. I did one after I read the original message and I found over 60 topics regarding Recruitment ideas!

Many people don't even KNOW about the search engine on GC...so I tell them. You'd be surprised at the archive filled with great references that could help. Yes, it's old, but it's also important to keep in mind that GC doesn't have unlimited amounts of space.

Again, if you don't like my posts...move on carry on with your business!

OTW,

I wasn't saying you were shooting anyone down. I was thinking of another post where someone new asked a question and the first response was very rude telling them to go search.

OTW - I wasn't shooting you down! As I said, it wasn't meant personally. I know there are a lot of things in the archives, and I'm glad people are made aware of them. I just like to read new ideas too. Sorry for any miscommunication.
