There have been several Theta Chi on reality shows. MTV's Real World has had atleast two Theta Chi's.

Brad from Real World San Diego and "The Miz" from Real World NY are both Theta Chi's also...

Here is Mike "The Miz" website: http://www.mikethemiz.com/bio.html

Mike's Bio

On October 8, 1980, a bundle of unparelled energy was born in Parma, Ohio. As an only child, this baby quickly grew to love the spotlight. He bounced off the walls, spoke with fervor and displayed a sparkeling vitality to his friends and family. This young boy was Michael Mizanin and this is his story...

Mike had quite a typical childhood. He entered school at age 6 and though he was often reprimanded by his teachers for talking, Mike was able to charm all those around him; especially the girls!

When Mike was 12, his parents divorced and his world was turned upside down. He moved with his mom and her boyfriend to Brunswick, Ohio where he attended a new elementary school. The move was difficult for him because he had to change schools 3 times in 2 years. In order to adapt to each new school, Mike quickly learned how to make new friends and become part of a social group. It was at this time that Mike began to harness the social skills that would lead him throughout his life.

Although Mike enjoyed living with his mom, he found that the distance between his mom's house and his school was too challenging and after a couple of years, he moved in with his dad. This caused more turmoil in his family, but Mike was finally able to have stability in his life. He later attended Normandy High School where he was captain of the baseball and cross country teams. Mike also swam, played basketball and football and boxed outside of school. He was president of student government, senior editor of the yearbook, on the senior advisory board, misletoe prince, and on homecoming court. Additionally, Mike was on Academicians, which was his high school's National Honor Society.

Between his activities and sporting events, Mike also cultivated a big social life and his house was known as the party house. Even though his friends drank often, Mike abstained from alcohol. Mike also began his love for wrestling during this time when he would watch it on TV every Sunday with his friends.

After high school, Mike attended the Miami University of Ohio. It was a big shock to him because he was no longer the big man on campus. He didn't know anyone, so he actively pursued new activities. Mike joined the THETA CHI FRATERNITY and indulged in all the fun and excitment college had to offer. When Mike completed his first year at school he tried out for The Real World on MTV. College was not fulfilling him and he felt there was something missing. So he sent in a tape, filled out a 30 page application, and began the process of entering one of the most popular shows for young people to date. Once he completed phone interviews, background checks, and more paperwork, Mike became one of the 7 members of The Real World 10: Back to New York.

Not only did Mike learn and grow with his fellow cast members, he also experienced a new side to his personality. Basically, it was on the Real World 10: Back to New York that Mike's alter ego "The Miz" was born. The Miz is a part of Mike's personality that comes alive during certain stressful, adreneline pumping situations. The Miz is essentially a wrestler that represents all that is wild, athletic, and free. Everyone has a "Miz" in them and Mike brings this reality to the surface. (For more on the "Miz" please refer to the special Miz section located on the main page).

Since 2001, Mike and the Miz have appeared on The Real World/ Road Rules Challenge: Battle of the Seasons and The Guantlet. Mike also attended George Bush's Points of Light speakers training course at Sonoma State University. Here he learned how to speak effectively to students about different issues, including: conflict resolution, drugs, alcohol, expanding and dealing with comfort zones, and following dreams. Mike is now touring all over America where he speaks and motivates students on various subjects. In doing so, he interjects substantiated relavent facts with his own unique experience on The Real World. Mike is an engaging and interesting speaker because he can relate to college aged students as well as educate their minds. He is also following his dream of becoming a professional wrestler and his ultimate goal is to become heavily involved with Ultimate Pro Wreslting (UPW) in the years to come.

Although the future cannot be predicted with certainty, one thing remains clear; The Mizfits will remain strong as long as they remain to be free. So always remind yourself to be good, be bad, but always always, BE MIZ.
