Big/lil crafty gift ideas

Ok, so we are turning in our lists for the girls we would prefer as our big tomorrow night (we pick three sisters, and they pic three pledges, and then they match up), and big/lil week is right around the corner, and I want to get a little something for my big when I find out who it is. The thing is, i want to get something more origional, because all of the girls on my list are girls who are, well, maybe a little less traditional than many girls. Also, I want to make something because there will always be time for me to buy something for her because there are thousands of places for me to do so, but i want something that has a little bit of a personal touch to it, i think any of the girls i get would appreciate it a little more. Anybody have any great ideas besides the same old picture frames, candles, candle holders, pillow cases, photo albums, bulliten (sp?) boards??

Maybe something cute you could do if you are into crafty things, is to get a cross stitch pillow case (i think they sell for about $5 for a package of two pillowcases) and cross stitch small designs for your sorority big sister!

if you have never done cross stitching before, it is very easy and there are thousands of online sites to teach you how to do it in a flash

some other crafty ideas:

decorated picture frames, tote bags, decorated mini scrapbooks (for all your big/lil memories!)

I posted this in a similar thread, but one of my little sisters made me a "memory jar." It was just a simple glass candy jar that she painted to say Memory Jar on one side, it had our sorority name on it and other things as well. Inside the jar was a slip of paper with a memory on it....the first time she received a present from me. The attached note said that my memory jar was for me to fill with all my memories....however, it got full within the year, so there's no more room but nevertheless, it was a cute idea that I appreciated.
